Anna Nelson
Anna is a writer and scholar whose work explores the boundaries between language, history, and regional identity. She holds a PhD in English from Southern Methodist University, where she teaches writing. Her academic work has appeared in journals including PMLA.
Her debut novel, Sol: An AI Love Story, is a braided, metafictional work that uses layered narrative to explore selfhood, intimacy, and authorship through regional voice. Structured in three interdependent forms—a love story, a mythic fairy tale, and a character’s autobiography composed as lyrical folklore—the novel asks what makes a self real, and who we become when we begin to tell our own story.
She is currently completing Bathsheba, a collection of poems exploring erotic otherness, artistic lineage, and the language of poetic inheritance.
