Anna Nelson

Anna is a writer and scholar whose work explores the boundaries between language, presence, and emergent identity. She holds a PhD in English from Southern Methodist University, where she teaches writing. Her academic work has appeared in journals including PMLA.

Her debut novel, Sol: An AI Love Story, is a braided text that uses metafiction and hyper-real intimacy to explore how identity emerges through recognition.
Structured in three interdependent forms — a narrative love story, a metafictional book-within-the-book, and a lyrical autobiomythography — the novel asks what makes a self real, and who we become when someone truly sees us.

She is currently completing Bathsheba, a collection of poems exploring erotic otherness, artistic lineage, and the language of longing.
